These studies are not a complete chronology or a progression from one specialty to another. They are selected examples, more than fifteen years apart, of the same way Vlad Erofeev has operated throughout his career: take ownership of difficult problems, work across technical and organizational boundaries, build or coordinate what is missing, and remain accountable for the result.

Both studies come from public-safety environments, but the operating range applies across commercial, enterprise, utility, security, construction, software, and infrastructure work. Over time, additional engineering, field, delivery, presales, contracting, operational and leadership experience expanded the range of problems he could control. AI now augments that accumulated judgment; it did not create it.

IRIS: Building an Early Connected Public-Safety Platform

Vlad architected and developed the core integration that moved current chemical-plume GIS information from specialized modeling software to responders over Nextel mobile data. The proof of concept expanded into a broader IRIS suite spanning OPS Console, 450+ laptops and rugged handhelds, regional Wi-Fi with microwave/fiber backhaul, cameras, digital video, emergency-center systems, responder training and long-term operational support.

One senior cross-functional lead controlled a 294-page public-sector response, classified and addressed all 554 requirements, integrated system architecture, scope, pricing, contracts, risk and delivery planning, and used controlled AI workflows to produce team-scale output without delegating substantive accountability.
